The thing that Mr. Kalra is so passionate about his work, that he looks up everywhere really keenly, and observes things, and uses all the details in his paintings to bring the best out of his paintings. There is a presence of duality in his works. In sense of duality, we see through the work which doesn’t only show the one side of the emotions, thoughts, and characters but also represents the whole picture without creating a side with it. It is something of a whole truth that doesn’t care about any lies and horridness.

There are many things that many artists hesitate to depict and that thing is the duality of nature. It is indeed something very powerful and inspiring for the next generation but does it contain the aspect of art which is necessary for understanding? My answer is yes, it does contain the part of art which tells the stories and fables but it is not completely black and white but more of a grey.

Looking at the whole pictures

When we get in touch with these kinds of arts then we find the need which we were ignoring because it helps us to meet with our hidden self. This kind of art that smoothly depicts the duality adds layer and depth to the work. It is indeed a good thing for the human but as we know that we do not want to look upon the ugly side of your character but Kalra is smoothly surfing the people towards their ugly side where they can find the true self.

It is very necessary for a person to understand the true identity of himself and if he or she is not understanding the need to explore the dark side then how will they know about themselves? It is indeed very necessary to look upon the right and left to capture the whole picture.

Vikash Kalra’s Painting

Depth and understanding of the duality in nature

In Vikash’s art, we see the depictions of duality which is something adding the thoughts for example his heads are showing both the good and bad emotions, it is exploring the truth of a mind without hurting the character. It is something that is very necessary for the viewer and it is the responsibility of an artist to show them the truth.

Art is not only about beautiful sculptures, paintings, and drawings. It should be something that engages the viewers in such a way that it explore their inner self. It should and must not be the part of only beauty. Kalra works are not merely the piece of beauty that you hang over the wall behind your couch. It is for the depth and understanding of the dual nature of the environment it is the fusion of cold and hot, good and evil, day and night. It is in his art and this should be truly called art not some photocopy of something.

If there is something called responsibility for the artist then that is it. Artist works should explore emotions and thoughts without disturbing the true nature of the viewers. In his artworks, Vikash explores the depth of character of humans which they themselves hide from them. It is something a good work for the society at the same time a thing to explore for the artist.

Exploration of all dimensions of subjects

There is a lot of artists who look upon the single side of the story but there could not be a single entity in the whole scene. It should and must be contained with the duality. Vikash’s works are different than the others only due to the concept of duality in his work.

Choosing a subject and completing its all side is what made Picasso a true genius and if we do not learn from that then there is something to concern about. Vikash’s works are the prime example of the exploration of all dimensions of subjects without any force and aggression. It is something that is more of technique and experience than rot learning.

Even if we look upon his sculpture, we find the role of both sides in the same way as a game of chess. It connects and works for hand in hand which is why it is more beautiful, subtle, and attractive to the viewers who understand the deep philosophy.
